FAQ

Yes, our butter is entirely plant-based!

Crafted from a blend of premium natural ingredients—including macadamias, cashews, cultured coconut cream, organic olive oil, and coconut oil—our butter is rich in nutrients, healthy fats, protein, vitamins, and minerals.

"Cultured" butter refers to butter made from cream that has undergone a fermentation process. Our coconut cream is slowly fermented with living cultures. It’s one of the things that gives Bu Deli butter its delicious flavour.

Our butter is a creamy blend of nuts, cream and olive oil, delivering the buttery goodness without any dairy. It's flavourful, not overpowering, and pairs perfectly with Vegemite, jam, steamed greens, grilled corn, scones—basically, anything that's great with butter. Taste the richness without compromise.

Unlike many plant-based margarines and spreads that use heated vegetable oils with potentially harmful trans fats, our method is straightforward and health-conscious. No heated oils. Instead, we've carefully honed our process, including fermentation, to create a product that's not just delicious but better for you.

Our butter is crafted by blending nuts, creams, milk, cultures, and oils together. That's it!

Bu Deli butter is perfect for both cooking and baking, serving as a delicious and planet-conscious alternative to dairy butter.

Bu Deli butter is dairy-free, gluten-free, and vegan.

Bu Deli butter contains macadamias, cashews, and soy, and may also contain traces of peanuts.

02Ingredients

A substantial portion of our ingredients are sourced from Australia, including beautiful macadamias from the Northern Rivers, salt from the Gold Coast, and olive oil from NSW. While we import our coconut products and cashews, we are continuously looking for ways to enhance our sourcing practices.

All our butter ingredients are GMO-free.

Our butter is palm oil-free.

Bu Deli isn't certified organic (yet), but we're heading in that direction. Our macadamias are spray-free, and our olive oil, salt, and soy milk are organic.

04Sustainability

Opting for plant-based products instead of dairy is a powerful choice for the planet. It generates fewer climate-changing gases, requires less land and water, and has a smaller impact on forests. Additionally, it produces fewer pollutants, is gentler on wildlife and habitats, and generally uses less energy. Opting for plant-based alternatives is a conscious step towards a more sustainable and eco-friendly choice.

Our factory is based in Burleigh Heads, on the Gold Coast in Queensland.
